Meeting with Legislators 101

How can we make sure our elected officials are hearing our voices?

No political experience needed! Join us for an evening discussing the in's and out's of meeting with elected officials. The more people who know how to effectively communicate with legislators, the better chances we have to make sure our elected officials understand the importance of acting boldly on climate.

Come learn about the fight for a stable climate and even more importantly, about what you can do to help. We will be focusing on state level political lobbying and advocacy, specifically on aggressively updating WA state's limits for greenhouse gases. You can join a civic action team to lobby our elected officials on climate policy.

This training is open to anyone interested in learning about how best to structure meetings with legislators and how to effectively communicate your concerns and requests. This event is one in a series of trainings focused on political action and civic activity, with a particular focus on climate policy in WA State. You can learn more about the climate policies we're advancing by joining our email list here: http://350seattle.org/policy-2/
